His primary vision for The Oasis and the Fence Road Farm Brewery is to create a fun, frolicky, passionately playful environment where guests can nourish their hearts, minds, bodies, and soul.
The Doyle family owned Brakewell Steel Fabricators in Chester NY from 1969 to 2021. Dan handles all financial and administrative functions for the brewery and The Oasis.
Dan has been involved with the sport of Disc Golf as a competitor, organizer, promotor, tournament director, and disc golf course designer since 1974. He is a member of the inaugural class of both the NY and NJ Disc Golf Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame in 2025. Dan has designed over 30 Disc Golf courses, including the Brakewell Steel and Wolfe Woods courses in the Warwick Town Park and the Oasis course adjacent to the brewery.
Dan played on 4 world championship Ultimate Frisbee teams over a 30-year career, and won the Discathon event at the 1985 World Championships. Besides Disc sports, Dan has completed 20 marathons and enjoys his dual US / Canadian citizenship skiing in the Canadian Rockies and escaping as often as possible to Prince Edward Island.
Meet Charlie Holmgren, one of the fun and creative masterminds behind the Fence Road Farm Brewery at The Oasis!
Charlie’s brewing journey began in 1996 when, at just 18, he brewed his first batch of beer and discovered his passion. He landed his first brewing gig as a Brewer’s Assistant at Mountain Valley Brewery in Suffern, NY, where he was part of a team that won a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival. That success convinced Charlie to enter his own beer into a competition at Brooklyn Brewery—and he won his category!
With his fun sense of humor and his love of community, Charlie is the perfect person to bring the Fence Road Farm Brewery to life. Fun fact: Charlie connected with The Oasis through his love of disc golf!
Oh, and did we mention he’s a musician too? Charlie books all the bands for our taproom stage.
We’re thrilled to have Charlie on board, bringing not just his incredible brewing talent, but also his fun-loving energy and dedication to the community.
Meet Zack Doyle, our Head Cook and Food Operations Manager for the Fence Road Farm Brewery at the Oasis!
Zack’s passion for cooking started at a very young age when he chose to shadow a local chef for a school project back in 2015. He has loved cooking since then and worked as a food prep and line cook for 5 years at a local restaurant. Zack recently attended school in Upstate NY and is currently working online to achieve his degree in Sports Management.
Zack runs the kitchen and taproom alongside our Brewmaster / Co-Owner Charlie, and Zack’s Father and owner of Fence Road and the Oasis, Dan. In Zack’s free time, he loves to ski and play local Professional Disc Golf events, which is his other passion.
Zack is super excited to embark on this exciting journey, and loves growing our business, community and the sport of Disc Golf. He is currently in charge of our hiring process as well as our freshly curated menu, which we love sharing with everyone!
